Semuliki Safari Lodge

Semuliki Safari Lodge is located in formerly called Toro Game Reserve and currently called Semuliki valley, in the Western Rift Valley. It is the only accommodation place in over 500 square kilometers of wilderness, offering a truly private experience.

Its structure is built out of local materials and has a feeling of traditional rustic without losing that all-important comfort.

The lodge has large canvas tents with permanent thatched roofs and each tent includes en-suite bathrooms with running water and private verandas with a stunning panoramic view.

Imagine lying on a hand carved four poster bed draped in muslin. Persian carpets and other soft touches ensure that this is far from roughing it in the bush.

The lodge Sofas is covered with cushions, there is also plenty of lounging space, and loads of books to read, warm muffins brought to you in bed with your morning tea or coffee, and soft fleecy blankets on the beds.

The food prepared at the lodge has been often regarded as the ‘Best food in Uganda’ because everything is home-made, right from the bread baked daily, to the soups, the relishes and chutneys.

While at the lodge you may choose to do nothing more that relax by the pool which overlooks the Blue Mountains of the Congo, or partake in a number of activities that we run from the lodge.

The Resort has a Private and open parking were visitors can park their cars and it provides Conference facilities in their large Conference Hall for workshops

In terms of security, the Resort has 24 hour armed private security guards and Hotel shut Mini bar stocked with a variety of local and imported drinks.

The Resort is located 500 meters off Fort Portal –Kampala highway in a Serene and secure environment. Approaching from Fort Portal town, branch off to the right at Kitumba Mogas Petrol Station (3 kms from Fort Portal Town) and follow clear Tooro Resort sign posts.

The resort offers exceptional African Village cottages and a guest house. Each room is self-contained, with hot and cold baths, internal telephone, satellite colour television (DSTV) and private parking. Security is guaranteed 24 hours a day, by armed private security guards.

The hotel facility is located 1.5 Km from Fort Portal Town Centre. Mountains of the Moon is ideal for those seeking a quiet environment, honey moaners, family get-togethers, wedding parties and receptions, luncheons, dinners and workshops.

National Park Bandas and Campsites

Its self-catering campsite with bandas and it’s located alongside the main Bundibugyo road almost half way between Sempaya and Ntandi.

Kitchen building are provided to the visitors to help them prepare their own food and also they provide an alternative where the visitors have to go with their own provisions and the staff at the campsite make for them food.

At the campsite tourists are requested to take their own insect repellent to discourage the annoying midges around the hour sunrise and sunset.

The campsite management advises the visitors to carry long-sleeved shirts buttoned at the cuff and long trousers tucked into socks.

The rates range from US$9 twin rooms per person in the cottages to US$8 per person for camping services.

Ruwenzori View Guest House

It is a comfortable, homely, family-run place set within the backdrop of the breathtaking Rwenzori Mountains.
The guest house was Purposely-designed by a Swiss architect and started by a Dutch / English couple. It has welcomed guests from over 95 different countries since its opening in 1997.

Conveniently situated in Boma, a lush, green suburb of Fort Portal town, the Guest House is within easy walking distance of the bustling local market, the post office and the town center.

The beautiful garden has a wide variety of trees, shrubs and colorful tropical flowers. It is a quiet and peaceful place to relax, watch the abundant bird life, read a book or have a drink or a meal.

The guest house has six comfortable rooms which are self-contained and one family room en suite. All rooms have comfortable beds and their own bathroom. The energy-efficient solar panels ensure that you will always be able to have a hot shower. Each room also has emergency lightening so you are never in the dark.

Each room has its own private veranda adjacent to the garden, a good place to put your feet up and watch the birdlife.
