By Air

By Road

Toro Semliki Wildlife Reserve is about an hour’s drive from Fort Portal, and the closest park here is Kibale National Park.

The reserve is also about 378 kilometers from Kampala, and a drive takes about 5–8 hours, depending on the route. One of the common routes used is the Kampala-Mityana-Mubende-Bundibugyo Road.

You will drive from Kampala to Fort Portal and then to Karugutu, along the Bundibugyo Road. It is from Karugutu, at the reserve headquarters, where the Nyaburogo hike starts.
